When your body needs a tune-up, look no further

Last summer, Core Intentions opened its doors in Squamish’s industrial park and has quickly become the go-to pilates destination for those looking for something new and exciting. With only a few months under their belt, Core Intentions has a bustling crowd passing through its doors.

Pilates snob approved!

When I move from Vancouver last fall, I was almost in tears leaving my wicked pilates studio I had been going to for over six years. So when I heard about Andi from Core Intentions who was a certified classical Pilates teacher and recently opened a Pilates studio in Squamish, I was fist-pumping happy—thank-you universe!

Pilates is a low-impact workout that builds strength and endurance. It can improve your balance and posture, making everyday activities easier and more difficult ones (like cycling, climbing and skiing) less challenging.

When you walk in to the studio there’s always fresh tea and happy faces. It is evident that Andi is crazy passionate about Pilates. Her teaching is spot-on and attitude enthusiastic and down-to-earth. …sometimes her Ipilates jokes are too much, but we smile anyway.

Classes are held in a large, sun-filled room and there are a variety of equipment classes and workshops. There’s a range of levels, from beginner to advanced, so there’s definitely something for everyone.

I am addicted to Pilates and find it wild to think about how many years I’ve been doing it and how there’s always so much more education and refinement to take in. I think Squamishians (or whatever the heck we’re called) are really going to LOVE these classical pilates classes, whether your training for your sport, recovering from injury, or just wanting the ability to move with ease, this gem of a studio awaits you. http://www.coreintentions.com/
